avec  5 , on obtient :  - 3 *5 + 21 = - 15 + 21 = 6

avec (  - 4) on obtient  - 3*( - 4)  + 21  = 12 + 21  = 33

- 3 x + 21 = - 39

- 3 x = - 39 - 21

- 3 x = - 60

x = 20

Réponse :

on choisi un nombre : n

on soustrait  7 à ce nombre :  n-7

on multiplie le nombre obtenu par (-3) : -3 * (n-7)     * signifie multiplier

1) si n= -4   alors on obtient: -3 * ( -4 -7) = -3 * (-11) = 33

2) si  -3 * (n-7)  =  -39 alors  n-7 = 13  soit n= 20

donc Jean a choisi le nombre 20.
