Bonjour,
First conditional : if + present simple /// will + base verbale
Pour une situation possible dans le futur
Second conditional : if + past simple /// would + base verbale
Pour une situation hypothétique, improbable
Third conditional : if + past perfect /// would have + past participle
1.I WOULD HAVE CALLED you yesterday if I HAD GOT home sooner.
( 3rd conditional )
2.If I WERE you, I WOULDN'T GO to this dangerous place.
( 2nd Conditional ) ( If I were = prétérit modal )
3.If he LIKES this type of music we WILL INVITE him to a concert.
( 1st Conditional. )
4.They WOULDN'T HAVE PLAYED outside last night if they HAD KNOWN that it was going to rain.
( 3rd conditional )
( Ils n’auraient pas joué dehors hier si ils avaient su qu’il allait pleuvoir )
5.She WILL CALL you when she GETS home.
( 1st conditional )
( Elle t’appellera quand elle rentrera )
6.If I WON the lottery I WOULD BUY a palace.
( 2nd conditional )
7.We WOULDN’T BE in the team if we WEREN'T any good. But we are!
( 2nd conditional )
8.I WOULD HAVE PASSED the test if I HAD STUDIED harder. What a shame!
( what a shame ! quel dommage / quelle honte )
